Who we are
Bright Start Montessori Pre-School, Crofton Oak Scout and Guide Hut, Crofton Road, Orpington, Kent BR6 8JE. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us about anything in this notice by emailing admin@brightstartmontessori.co.uk or calling 01689 850904.
What we collect through this website
This website only collects information you choose to send us through its two forms.
- Enquiry form: your name, your email address, the month and year of your child's birth, and your message.
- Uniform order form: your child's name, your name, your email address, and the items, sizes and quantities you order.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking on this website, and we do not collect information about your visit.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a visit or a place for your child. Our lawful basis is that this is in our legitimate interests and yours, as you have asked us to get in touch.
- To prepare your uniform order, confirm it with you and match your bank transfer to it. Our lawful basis is that this is necessary to carry out the order you have asked for.
We do not use your details for marketing and we do not sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.
Who handles it on our behalf
When you send a form, it is delivered to our email inbox by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service. Web3Forms processes the form contents only to deliver them to us. Their privacy policy is at web3forms.com/privacy.
Once delivered, your message is held in our email account, which is provided by Microsoft 365, like any other email we receive. Microsoft processes it only to provide our email service. Their privacy statement is at privacy.microsoft.com.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: until we have dealt with your enquiry, and for up to 12 months afterwards in case you come back to us.
- Uniform orders: until the order is complete and paid for, and then as part of our financial records for as long as we are required to keep them.
- If your child joins the nursery, the information becomes part of their nursery records, which are covered by the privacy information we give you when you enrol.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
The map on our contact section is provided by Google Maps and is only loaded if you press "Show map". Once shown, Google may set its own cookies and collect information about your use of the map under Google's privacy policy. If you would rather not load the map, use the "Open in Google Maps" link or the address above instead.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw your agreement where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, email admin@brightstartmontessori.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
This website is intended for parents and carers. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children through it. The details about your child that you give us in a form are used only for the purposes described above.
Changes to this notice
If we change how this website uses your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
